Terms and Conditions

1. General

These Terms and Conditions apply to all guests using the restaurant and bar facilities at Castle Lodge (“we”, “us”, “our”). By entering or using the restaurant or bar, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

 
2. Opening Times

Opening times are displayed at the premises and may change without prior notice. We reserve the right to close the restaurant or bar for private events, maintenance, or exceptional circumstances.

 
3. Reservations

Reservations are subject to availability.
We may require card details to secure bookings, particularly for larger parties.
Late arrivals may result in your table being released.
We reserve the right to cancel or amend reservations where necessary.
Amendments to reservations are subject to availability and those made within the cancellation period may be subject to cancellation charges.

We reserve the right to increase or decrease the price of unsold breaks at any time.

On receipt of written confirmation the prices quoted and confirmed in writing by Castle Lodge remain fixed except for any alterations in the Government rates of taxation and/or duty such as VAT, for which we reserve the right to alter pricing to take account of any variation that is out of our control.

 
4. Cancellations and No-Shows

Cancellation policies will be confirmed at the time of booking.
For certain bookings, failure to cancel within the stated timeframe or failure to attend may result in a charge.
 
5. Payment

We accept major debit and credit cards and other payment methods as displayed.
All prices are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate unless stated otherwise.
 
6.Accessibility

Due to the nature of the historic building, it is not possible for wheelchairs to access the accommodation suites.

Please contact our us to discuss specific individual requirements for the restaurant and bar we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

 
7. Medical conditions and special requests

If you or any member of your party has special requests, medical condition or disability which may affect the experience of your stay, please advise us so that we can make provision for the particular needs of the person(s) concerned, or advise you if we are unable to make such provision. We make all efforts to accommodate, unfortunately there may be occasions where these cannot be granted.

 
8. Food and Drink

Menus and prices are subject to change without notice.
We cannot guarantee that any food or drink is completely free from allergens. Guests must inform staff of any allergies or dietary requirements before ordering.
Alcohol is served in accordance with UK licensing laws. We operate a Challenge 25 policy and may require valid photo ID.
 
9. Responsible Drinking

We reserve the right to refuse service of alcohol to:

Anyone under 18
Anyone unable to provide valid ID
Anyone who appears intoxicated
Anyone behaving in a disorderly or unsafe manner
 
10. Dress Code and Behaviour

We reserve the right to refuse entry or service to any guest whose behaviour, appearance, or conduct is deemed inappropriate, offensive, or disruptive.

 
11. Children

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
We may restrict children’s access to the bar area in line with licensing requirements.
 
12. Personal Belongings

We do not accept responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings unless required by law.

 
13. Damage

Guests may be held financially responsible for any damage caused to property, fixtures, or furnishings due to negligence or misuse.

 
14. Smoking & Pets

Smoking and vaping is not permitted inside Castle Lodge. A cleaning fee may apply for violations.
Pets are not allowed inside Castle Lodge.
 
15. Health & Safety

Guests must comply with all health and safety instructions given by staff. We reserve the right to ask guests to leave if their actions pose a risk to themselves or others.

The hotel is not liable for injuries, accidents, or illnesses occurring on the premises, except where required by law.
 
16. Complaints

Any concerns or complaints should be raised with the duty manager at the time of your visit to allow us the opportunity to resolve them promptly.

 
17. Force Majeure

Castle Lodge accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, fire, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, pandemics, epidemics, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.

 
18. Third Party Websites and Viruses

Castle Lodge cannot be held responsible for the accuracy, content, or availability of information about our hotel or our company that may be found on third party websites. Neither are we responsible for the content or privacy policies of any third party websites that have links to or from our website.

 
19. Data Protection

Personal data is handled in accordance with UK data protection legislation. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details.

 
20. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will be available at the premises and/or on our website.

 
21. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
