What are you having?

A good bar is judged by the content of its beer cellar. You'll find several local favourites on tap at Castle Lodge, including the much-loved Ludlow Gold and the refreshingly zesty Stairway pale ale.

For wine lovers, we've prepared a world tour of hand-picked vintages. Spanish reds. French rosés. Fizz from far and wide – and more than a few nice surprises.

And as for snacks, think posh but unpretentious. Smoky, moreish nuts. Hand-cooked local crisps. Nibbles made for sharing but hard to share. And how about another drink to wash it all down?

I've marked the details that are most obviously made up but this whole section is basically whole-cloth stuff.

Bring your best friend

Everyone is welcome at the Castle Lodge Bar – four-legged friends included. So, why not bring Fido to join in on the fun? We'll have dog biscuits and water bowls at the ready.

Please note that dogs are only permitted in the bar and on the terrace. We don't allow dogs in our dining areas or suites.

Calling all hobby groups and local societies – Castle Lodge bar is open for business and ready to accommodate your next get-together. Looking for a new venue for your ukulele group or birdwatchers' meet-up? You've just found it.
